A missing highlight can indicate keyboard matrix blocking, the operating system, or browser handling. This observes delivered key events; it cannot certify the keyboard controller itself.

Before you run

Get a cleaner answer

  • Use the actual device, control, or output you want to check.
  • Allow camera or microphone access only when that test asks.
  • Browser privacy limits are shown as unsupported, not as failures.
  • Repeat the interaction if you want to confirm a fault.

Useful context

Common questions

What is keyboard ghosting?

Ghosting commonly describes missing or unintended key signals when several keys are pressed together. This page shows the key events that reach your browser.

Can a web test certify full NKRO?

No. It can reveal combinations that do or do not arrive as browser events, but the keyboard controller, connection, operating system, and browser are all part of the observed path.

Troubleshooting

Fix common problems

A gaming combination is blocked

  1. 1Retry the same combination in a different keyboard area to identify matrix limits.
  2. 2Connect the keyboard directly instead of through a hub or adapter.
  3. 3Check whether your keyboard has a gaming mode or NKRO toggle in its manual or companion software.
