Memory Speed Test Online

Allocate a conservative typed-array buffer, write deterministic values, read and traverse them repeatedly, and report measured throughput, elapsed time, allocation size, and checksum. The result includes JavaScript engine and cache effects and is not raw DIMM bandwidth.

Beta

Memory information and allocation probe

Inspect the coarse memory hint the browser exposes, then optionally run a bounded JavaScript buffer-write probe in an isolated worker.

Browser memory hint
Not exposed
A coarse, privacy-rounded deviceMemory value. It is not an exact RAM total.
Logical processor hint
Not exposed
Browser-reported logical concurrency, which may also be privacy-limited.
Probe allocation
8.0 MB
One fixed-size buffer is reused; the probe does not search for the device's memory limit.

This cannot reveal exact installed RAM, available system memory, memory frequency, or native RAM bandwidth. Results describe this browser's JavaScript allocation/write path and can change with power mode and background work.

What this test tells you

This tool reports only interactions and browser APIs it can observe. It does not infer hidden hardware specifications or turn unsupported access into made-up results.

Before you run

Get a cleaner answer

  • Use the actual device, control, or output you want to check.
  • Allow camera or microphone access only when that test asks.
  • Browser privacy limits are shown as unsupported, not as failures.
  • Repeat the interaction if you want to confirm a fault.

Useful context

Common questions

Why is this not the same as native RAM bandwidth?

The measurement includes the browser's JavaScript engine, bounds checks, CPU caches, memory management, and operating-system scheduling.

Will this use all available memory?

No. The test intentionally caps its temporary allocation to reduce crash and tab-discard risk, then releases it after completion.

Troubleshooting

Fix common problems

Memory Speed is not responding

  1. 1Reload the page and keep this tab visible while testing.
  2. 2Check browser permissions and connect the device you want to test directly.
  3. 3Try the same check in another current browser to separate a browser issue from a device issue.

Keep checking
