Battery Level & Charging Test

Check whether the Battery Status API is available. When supported, display current level, charging state, estimated charging time, and estimated discharging time, and update the values when the browser reports a change.

Beta

Battery status

Reads the live charge information your browser chooses to expose. Values update automatically while this page is open.

No permission prompt is requested.

Browsers do not provide battery health, cycle count, temperature, design capacity, or wear level here. This tool never invents those values.

What this test tells you

This tool reports only interactions and browser APIs it can observe. It does not infer hidden hardware specifications or turn unsupported access into made-up results.

Before you run

Get a cleaner answer

  • Use the actual device, control, or output you want to check.
  • Allow camera or microphone access only when that test asks.
  • Browser privacy limits are shown as unsupported, not as failures.
  • Repeat the interaction if you want to confirm a fault.

Useful context

Common questions

Does this measure battery health or capacity?

No. The browser API does not expose cycle count, design capacity, current full-charge capacity, voltage, temperature, or a reliable health percentage.

Why is battery information unavailable?

Many browsers restrict or remove the Battery Status API for privacy and compatibility reasons. Unsupported access does not indicate a battery problem.

Troubleshooting

Fix common problems

Battery Test is not responding

  1. 1Reload the page and keep this tab visible while testing.
  2. 2Check browser permissions and connect the device you want to test directly.
  3. 3Try the same check in another current browser to separate a browser issue from a device issue.
