Dead Pixel Test

Inspect the panel against black, white, primary colors, secondary colors, and neutral gray. Enter fullscreen when available and move through each pattern using taps, clicks, arrow keys, or the visible controls.

Dead and stuck pixel test

Inspect the display at normal viewing distance while solid white, black, red, green, blue, and gray screens are shown. A browser test cannot repair or certify a physical panel.

Tap the screen or use Left/Right, Space, or Enter to change color. Use Escape or the visible Exit test control to leave.

Before you run

Get a cleaner answer

  • Use the actual device, control, or output you want to check.
  • Allow camera or microphone access only when that test asks.
  • Browser privacy limits are shown as unsupported, not as failures.
  • Repeat the interaction if you want to confirm a fault.

Useful context

Common questions

What is the difference between a dead and stuck pixel?

A dead pixel usually stays dark, while a stuck subpixel can remain red, green, blue, or bright. A browser pattern only helps you spot the symptom.

Should I clean the screen first?

Yes. Dust can look like a dark pixel, so inspect a clean screen at a comfortable brightness.

Troubleshooting

Fix common problems

A pixel stays the wrong color

  1. 1Clean the screen gently and repeat the black, white, red, green, and blue patterns.
  2. 2A rapid color-cycling utility may sometimes help a stuck subpixel, but it cannot repair a dead or physically damaged pixel.
  3. 3Avoid pressing or massaging the panel because pressure can cause additional damage; document the issue and check the display warranty instead.
